Shipping
I ship items out usually on the next business weekday. Sometimes an order that comes in and is paid for early could go out the same day.
Custom orders of course take longer, we will communicate directly in that case.
I do NOT ship on weekends, and on the rare occasion I can't for some reason get your item in the mail by the next weekday I will let you know immediately.

Shipping charges
For most small items, I pretty much have the fee figured out, at least close enough. If I under charged, I'll just eat it. If I over charged, and it's by over one dollar, I round up to the nearest dollar and refund via pay pal.
Some items, such as walking sticks for example, are so oddly shaped, and depending on where they have to go, actual fees are all over the board.
For those items, I have only listed shipping within the USA and have most likely way over guessed on the rate. IMPORTANTI do NOT make income off shipping charges. EVER!
Items where I have seemingly huge shipping fees are listed this way just for those folks who want it now, go ahead and order. I will round UP to the nearest dollar on shipping and refund the difference via pay pal.
Or simply contact me first, give me your zip code and a day or so, I'll take the package to the P.O. find out the actual rate, and I can then just invoice you with the adjusted rate. Most people don't want to go through all that, hence the listings with outrageous shipping fees. Trust me, differences will be refunded to you.
I can and have shipped items all around the world. But unless your location is listed, you simply have to contact me first. Sorry about that.
International shipping… depends on the item, but tracking, and insurance are usually not available. Please be aware that once I put it in the mail, it's out of my control. YOU assume any risk. Please note, to date, nothing has been lost or damaged. But there is always a first time.
I ship everything via USPS and all items within the continental USA tracking is included. Items I deem too valuable to afford to lose, (typically anything over 100.00, or fragile such as kaleidoscopes for example, I will factor in postal insurance and this will be stated in the item description. This is mandatory. Now I pack well but IF something arrives damaged, please take photos immediately. Again so far, this has never come up but there is always a first time.

Payment
For the time being, the only form of payment I accept is Pay Pal. If your new to Pay Pal, it's a fantastic service. HIGHLY recommended. You can use your credit card, but you must set up a free pay pal account to do so. This is good no matter where you shop on line. It keeps your credit card hidden from merchants, and yet lets you use it through Pay Pal. Pay pal also offers some buyer protections. On top of what your credit card already does. Any fees involved are on the seller. (me.) I'm fine with that.
I have in the past taken checks and got bitten in the butt for it. I will no longer accept personal checks at all. IF for some reason you have to mail me payment and not use pay pal,
the ONLY payment I will consider is a POSTAL MONEY ORDER. Regular money orders and cashiers checks can be more easily faked than plain cash. But faking a government money order is a felony. That carries a much bigger punishment than other forms. Not too many criminals would bother just for some craft items I make. But regardless of all this, You must contact me before assuming I will even accept this. Pay pal is free. I'd have to question why anyone wouldn't want to use it.

Finally, in the past I did take Amazon payments, but I don't any longer. (They are just too stupid.)
Again, pay pal is not hard to set up, is free to use to shop, you do not need to deposit money into pay pal (though you can do it that way.) It can be set up to either pull directly from your bank, or use what ever credit card or cards you put on your account. Fantastic service, and the only one I accept.

Returns
First and foremost, I want my customers happy.
But issues simply MUST be handled on a one on one basis. I can't possibly list any possible problems there ever could be. So far, with many hundreds of sales I've shipped, only once was a package lost and it was my fault for printing the wrong label. (That actually got shipped to a previous customer, who got a free gift and wondered why. lol) Of course the customer who never got their order got a free replacement order along with a few extra free items. I've been doing this for years and that was a one time thing. Totally my fault. So far nothing has been "lost in the mail." (YET.)
I do pack everything very securely. Raw clay canes would have to be one of the most fragile and so far I have NEVER had one damaged in transit. All I can say is please, if there is any problem with anything, contact me first.
I wish I had a feedback system on my site. All I can say is I have sold on ebay in the past. (Their fees and endless stupid rules took away all the fun of it.) I still have an account there but only to shop. (It's my domain name, ArtmakersWorlds if you want to look me up.)
I had two shops on Etsy for quite some time. Perfect 100% on both. Had a shop on Artfire for some time. Again 100% good feedback. However all these sites have one big flaw. At some point, they get greedy, stupid, support dries up, rules change without any warning. Phoey! I'm done with all of them.
Best advice, and this goes for shopping anywhere your not sure about, contact me first. Find out I'm a real person, eager to help, and just trying to make a few bucks with my hobbies. Trust is earned. Test me, I'll earn yours.
