I often bring several sources to use as reference. I had a small clip of this landscape painting by Bearstadt and I only wanted to use that as inspiration. I had another photo of clouds, some of rivers and so on. Well, Mr. Bearstadt's ghost must have been with me because before I knew it I had copied his painting almost exactly. There are a few changes, such as the cliff which I turned into sort of a castle thing but for the most part this is a copy.

I think of this as a learning experience. It is a nice painting, just not really mine.
